What are the remission and cure rates for childhood AML? For pediatric AML, most children are able to get into a remission. However, about 30% of children will relapse after getting into remission. It's not as dire as the situation for adults with AML, but there leaves a lot of room for improvement. For children who go to transplant for AML, there's about a 70% chance of survival.
