If a patient is being observed, what does observation look like?

If a patient is being observed, what does observation look like? If somebody has a low-risk MDS and if they have low counts and you know sometimes they may require blood transfusions. So it depends on how low the blood counts are. If the blood counts are not too low and they are not requiring any transfusions, then we may check blood counts every month or every other month until they drop further or if they require transfusions. If they require transfusions, then we may need to do the lab work more frequently, but otherwise every two to three months based on the blood counts is what we usually do.
