What are some of the challenges with MRD testing AML?

What are some of the challenges with MRD testing in AML? So what are some of the challenges with MRD testing? I think obviously we hope that we can have MRD tests that are even more sensitive than we have now. So MRD testing in general can detect one out of every thousand or ten thousand cells and if they're leukemia or not, but we would like even more sensitive tests that can determine one out of a million or even more. So that's a major limitation to our MRD testing right now, although we're working on finding more sensitive tests. I think something else that would be very helpful for patients is to do have a very good MRD test that can be done on the blood because obviously bone marrow is cumbersome and we're not able to perform that as often as we want. If we in the future are able to have a good MRD test that can be done in the blood, we can do blood sampling every few weeks or every month without needing to do a bone marrow and we could hopefully detect early relapses of leukemia before they present with clinical symptoms.
