What is the cause of MDS? So we don't know for sure what causes, but there as I said, we know the risk factors. One is ionizing radiation, chemotherapy, and also sometimes having some congenital predisposition to develop bone marrow failure syndrome. So we are learning more about that. At least 5 to 10 percent of patients may have some genetic predisposition to develop, but most of the times it is developed in older people. We don't know for the majority of the patients what the cause is.
