Marilu brings empathy, joy, and warmth to every project. Outside of work, she loves to travel, connect with others, and spend time with her loved ones—especially her nephews (being an aunt is her absolute favorite role in life!).

Janet L. Abrahm, MD, FACP, FAAHPM

Janet L. Abrahm, MD, FACP, FAAHPM, is a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Institute Physician at DFCI, specializing in palliative care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. After two decades as a hematologist/oncologist, she founded the first palliative care service and fellowship at DFCI and BWH. She has been a leader in national and international palliative care education, with over 150 publications, including her groundbreaking book Comprehensive Guide to Supportive and Palliative Care for Patients with Cancer. Dr. Abrahm has received numerous accolades, including ASCO’s 2024 Walther Cancer Foundation Supportive Oncology Award for her contributions to supportive and palliative oncology care.
