KRd Lowers Progression Risk in High-Risk Smoldering Myeloma | IMS 2026
Description
Dirk van Esser, a PhD candidate at Erasmus MC Cancer Institute, discusses long-term follow-up from the HOVON147/EMN15 trial in high-risk smoldering myeloma at IMS 2026 in Glasgow. The trial compared carfilzomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone (KRd) with lenalidomide and dexamethasone (Rd). Viewers will learn how KRd led to deeper responses and a lower risk of progression to active myeloma, with manageable side effects, and what future trials of T-cell redirecting therapies may add.
