Description

Pieter Sonneveld, MD, PhD, of Erasmus MC discusses six-year follow-up from the PERSEUS trial at IMS 2026 in Glasgow. The trial added subcutaneous daratumumab to VRd, transplant and maintenance for newly diagnosed myeloma. He explains how the progression-free survival advantage of D-VRd has kept widening, especially in standard-risk patients, and how daratumumab plus lenalidomide maintenance deepened responses, allowing many MRD-negative patients to stop daratumumab after two years. He encourages patients to ask their doctors about dual maintenance.
