Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and changes in appetite can happen after CAR-T cell therapy. Most are temporary, but some patients develop more serious gastrointestinal complications. In this HealthTree video, we explain which GI side effects are common and when they occur, how to help manage diarrhea and prevent dehydration, and when diarrhea may signal immune effector cell-associated enterocolitis, a rare complication seen after some BCMA-directed CAR-T therapies for myeloma. You'll also learn when to contact the care team.
