Belantamab Mafodotin in Myeloma: Can a Questionnaire Replace Eye Exams? | IMS 2026
Description
Rakesh Popat, MD, PhD, of University College London Hospitals discusses interim results from the ProMMise study of a vision questionnaire to guide belantamab mafodotin (Blenrep) treatment at IMS 2026 in Glasgow. Patients on belantamab usually need regular eye exams, which add to treatment burden. In 40 patients, a short questionnaire caught nearly all severe eye problems, though it also flagged some false alarms. The next stage will test whether the questionnaire alone can replace routine eye exams.
