MajesTEC-3: Could Teclistamab + Daratumumab Lead to a “Functional Cure” in Myeloma? | IMS 2026
Description
Niels van de Donk, MD, PhD, of Amsterdam UMC discusses a statistical modeling analysis of the MajesTEC-3 trial of teclistamab plus daratumumab at IMS 2026 in Glasgow. He explains what a statistical cure fraction means and why the model suggests many patients on this combination may have a lifespan similar to the general population, a functional cure rather than a cure under the new definition. These are model projections, and longer follow-up is still needed.
