I have MDS and CMML……i amhetting CBC weekly. About every three weeks a get two units of red blood cells. I have several antigens and antibodies so it is difficult to to get a matching donor. I have been getting incompatable blood with the doctor signing off and have had no issues until the last two transfusioms. I am Ok getting the blood at the hospital but the next morning I get violent shaking and a temp of about 102. We have changed my cross and match to Mondays to see if a donor can be found that matches. So I can get blood a little later in the week. What happens if no match can be found??? PS. NO CHEMO has helped all failed.
