Recently diagnosed with AML. In 10 days I will finish my first 28 days of chemo at which time I will have another biopsy. My Dr told me yesterday that regardless of what the biopsy shows, he plans on 2 more rounds of chemo and then the bone marrow transplant. His decision was based on the fact that even if the chemo results showed remission, he feels as if the cancer will return. I'm 72 yr old formerly healthy male. Anyone out here that can give me what to expect with the transplant procedure
