Combating Anemia, Fatigue and GI Side Effects Through Diet

Event Description
Myeloma treatments (as well as the disease itself) can come with several unwanted side effects such as anemia, fatigue, and gastrointestinal issues like chronic diarrhea or constipation. How can what we eat play a role in alleviating or managing these side effects? Come to learn and bring your questions!

Speakers & Moderators

Audrey joined the HealthTree Foundation as the Myeloma Community Program Director in 2020. While not knowing much about myeloma at the start, she has since worked hard to educate herself, empathize and learn from others' experiences. She loves this job. Audrey is passionate about serving others, loves learning, and enjoys a nice mug of hot chocolate no matter the weather.

Stephanie Wiese, RD is an oncology/BMT dietitian and has been a member of the CBCI team since 2019. Her previous career was in banking, which she left in 2016 to pursue her passion for nutrition and become a Registered Dietitian. Stephanie loves being part of her patients' journeys and feels strongly that nutrition plays a major role during both treatment and transplant.
