Dr. Dale Bixby has been practicing medicine at Michigan for more than 15 years. He obtained his PhD at the University of Kentucky in 1999, before medical training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He was a resident in the Department of Internal Medicine and then completed fellowship training in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Michigan, before joining our faculty in 2009 as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Bixby was promoted to the rank of Clinical Associate Professor in 2015. Dr. Bixby is a highly respected clinical leader in the leukemia program. Dr. Bixby specializes in the areas of myeloid and lymphoid leukemias and is also a very active clinical investigator in hematological malignancies. He is a principal investigator on more than 20 clinical trials and authored more than 60 publications. He currently serves as the Inpatient Hematology Director and the Clinical Director of the Bone and Marrow Transplant and Leukemia ACU.
