Speakers & Moderators
Cynthia is a newborn ICU nurse by trade that has spent the last six years in the medical device industry educating nurses and doctors about devices that are new to their facility. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, traveling the world with her family, and creating Halloween animatronics for her annual front yard display. She has a passion for life-long learning and enjoys sharing what she learns with the people around her.
Anni McKinnon, Ph.D., is the chair of the Utah Health Literacy Coalition chair and the Salt Lake County Health Department Health Literacy Program manager. She has over 20 years of experience in the health industry, all reliant on getting clear health information to the end-user so they could make well-informed health decisions. Dr. McKinnon works on both sides of health literacy, organizational and personal, to improve how information is provided and received.
