Sameer Parikh, M.B.B.S., is an associate professor of medicine and a consultant in the Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic. He received his medical degree from the University of Mumbai in India and completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Illinois. He then pursued a clinical and research fellowship in leukemia at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Mayo Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology and has a special interest in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and related disorders.
Dr. Parikh has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and reviews on various aspects of CLL, including prognostic factors, clinical outcomes, and novel therapies. He has also received several awards and honors for his research and teaching, such as the Young Scientist Award, the Leukemia Research Award, the Merit Award, and the Outstanding Trainee Award.
