Dalton Bean

Dalton joined HealthTree in 2024 as the MPNs and MDS Program Manager. He is passionate about helping patients gain a better understanding of their health and treatment and sees it as a way to help empower individuals and their families who are affected by these diseases. Prior to joining HealthTree Dalton earned a Master’s Degree in Oncological Sciences while studying various different blood cancers. When not interacting with patients he is an avid snowboarder and hiker.

Angela Fleischman, MD PhD

Dr. Angela Fleischman is a UCI Health physician-scientist investigating hematologic malignancies. She integrates her research with the clinical care of patients with these blood disorders. Fleischman earned her medical degree and a PhD in cancer biology from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. Next she completed an internal medicine and a medical oncology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland.   Fleischman's longstanding interest in blood cell development began during her PhD studies at Stanford. She joined the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center as an assistant professor in 2013 and began developing an independent laboratory group focusing on the pathogenesis of myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN), a chronic leukemia. Her research interests also include a hematologic malignancies and hematopoietic stem cells. Her overarching research goal is to identify what drives disease initiation in MPN and, ultimately, to translate her scientific discoveries into therapies that benefit MPN patients.
