A board certified hematologist and medical oncologist, Vikas A. Gupta, MD, PhD, joined the clinical staff at Winship Cancer Institute as a practicing physician in September 2015. Dr. Gupta is an assistant professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gupta earned his PhD in Biomedical Sciences and his MD from the University of California, San Francisco. After obtaining his MD, Dr. Gupta completed both his residency in internal medicine and his postdoctoral fellowship in hematology and oncology at Emory University where he was Chief Fellow in his final year.
