By nature, CLL is circulating in the blood stream.
It's in the blood throughout the body.
It also is found in the bone marrow.
And in most patients, if we were to biopsy a lymph node, it would be in the lymph node.
Now in CLL, in different patients, it presents differently. So, in some patients, the disease is more in the lymph node, in some it's more in the blood, in some we detect in both.
There's a related condition that patients might hear about, something called SLL, or small lymphocytic lymphoma. And that's treated and managed the same as CLL, except there's less disease in the blood, and more in the lymph nodes.
Every patient is different. Some patients may have lymph nodes, I mean by virtue, the CLL circulate in the blood thoughout the body but in terms of the nodal disease, some patients might have enlarged lymph nodes in just one area, and other patients, it's more diffuse in terms of the enlarged lymph nodes.
