Preparing for the Inpatient ASCT Procedure

- Hospital staff will manage meals, cleaning, and medical care, allowing you to focus on healing.
- Engage in low-energy activities such as reading, watching movies, or listening to music.
- Maintain hygiene and light exercise as recommended.
Packing & Logistics
- Bring enough clothing, personal care items, and hygiene supplies for a hospital stay of up to a month.
- If you don’t have someone to do your laundry, check if the hospital has laundry facilities.
- Plan transportation to and from the hospital in advance.
Communication Plan
- List trusted contacts and inform them of your expected hospital stay.
- Set communication expectations: On difficult days, a quick “I’m okay” message may suffice.
- Arrange a point of contact to update others on your condition.
