Choosing Between Inpatient & Outpatient SCT

- Does your hospital offer inpatient or outpatient SCT?
- How far is the hospital from your home?
- For inpatients, how long is the hospital stay, and how long do you need to stay nearby after discharge?
- For outpatients, how close do you need to live to the hospital? Is temporary housing available, and is it covered by insurance?
- What is the follow-up schedule after the first 30 days and for the first year?
Caregiver Requirement
All patients—whether inpatient or outpatient—must have a designated caregiver or other type of pre-scheduled in-home care.
