Sharing My CAR-T Recovery & Light Chain Question
AI-generated title
I had the Car-T transplant in February 2023. It was the last option that I had !! Glad I went through this. It has done pretty good for me. It has taken me some time to get my strength back up but still working hard at it. I also have had some issues with my immune system being really low. I am currently taking IVIG therapy (octogam) to help try to get my immune system to go up. Have had some problems with white counts, platelets, and ANC running low. I also noticed on my last labs in early December, that my kappa light chain numbers rose slightly. Is this something that I need to be concerned with or is it just part of the Car-T process ?? I really appreciate getting to read about others going through the Car-T and am Praying🙏🙏 for everyone here and also with other cancers !! We will win this battle !! Do not give up !! New medicines are being made every day !!
