Bone Strenthening Therapies

Bisphosphonates (bone strenthening therapies) are a class of medications used in Multiple Myeloma to strengthen bones by inhibiting osteoclasts, the cells responsible for bone destruction. These agents help prevent skeletal events but require monitoring for side effects. Examples inclued: denosumab (Xgeva); zoledronic acid (Zometa).
