Welcome to The New HealthTree: Personalizing Your Cancer Support

Posted on: Jul 21, 2026

After 14 years of supporting cancer patients and their families, we've come to know one thing deeply: cancer is a highly personal experience. Even with the same diagnosis, no two patients are the same. Whether you're recently diagnosed or years past treatment, what you need changes at every stage - through treatment, remission, recurrence, and survivorship.

We know how hard it is to navigate support built for general "patients," but not for you as an individual. With our new HealthTree release, our goal is to provide a more personalized experience built around your diagnosis, treatment stage, areas of interest, and medical history.

The foundation of this new user experience is the creation of a Personal Health Record, a single place where you can connect and store your medical information. We invite you to start that process here. With that connection of medical records, your HealthTree support becomes deeply personal, like the ability to navigate your care based on where you are in your treatment journey, finding clinical trials and treatments you are eligible to receive.

In the new HealthTree, you can further customize your experience by subscribing to topics you want to follow, which will appear in your personalized feed. Use our new search tool to further find what you need, when you need it. Whether it's content in a video, article, guide, or webinar, our site brings it all together in a single place, with additional filters for convenience.

With new tools and major changes to your user experience, today we share what has changed and where to find your favorite items.

Here's what to expect when you sign in.

Your account is exactly where you left it

If you already have an account with HealthTree, you just need to log into your account to get access to get your personalized experience. You don't need to sign up again. Your Personal Health Record, your history, and anything you've saved to your account will be there, and you sign in the same way you always have. Educational videos, community posts, news, guides, your health tracking: it's all still here.

If you're living with more than one diagnosis, you can now add each of them to your profile. HealthTree will show you content and tools for every disease you're managing, not just one.

Your homepage is now a feed

When you sign in, you'll land on a feed instead of a menu. It's a continually updated mix of educational videos, articles, guides, and community posts, tailored to what you follow.

At the top, you'll see a green bar. That's where you control what shows up. You can flip between "For You" (based on topics you follow) and everything across HealthTree. If you have more than one cancer in your profile, you can narrow the feed to just one. If you only feel like reading news or just watching videos on a given day, the filters let you do that too.

Following topics

Personalized support means content tailored to topics you care about. Subscribing to topics lets you pull together everything we have on one subject in a single spot: educational videos, news articles, community posts, upcoming events, guides, all of it. If you want to find what we have on CAR-T, search for the CAR-T topic and see everything we have about the subject. If you want to follow it, hit the star, and anything new we publish on it shows up in your “For You” feed. No more checking three different places for updates on the same subject. See a full list of topics you can follow here.

An improved search

We rebuilt the search from the ground up. It understands plain language, so you can type the way you'd say it out loud, like "what is bispecific antibodies" or "help paying for medication," and it'll take you where you need to go, whether that's a tool, a topic, or an article. When you can't remember where something lives, this is the fastest way to find it.

We'd love to hear from you

Our progress is accelerated with your feedback. If something is confusing or you find an issue, email us at support@healthtree.org. It comes straight to our team, and it genuinely helps to hear where you hit a snag or what we could improve. Our future priorities will be based on your valuable input.

What comes next

During September, Blood Cancer Awareness month, we'll share more about the customization that will be coming in the near future, like the ability to receive alerts for clinical trials and newly approved treatment options you are eligible to receive, financial resources that you could consider based on your current therapies, better twin matching to connect you to others in the community with shared experiences, and more. The sky is the limit for what HealthTree can become in supporting you as the important individual you are.

Thanks for your support, and we hope you enjoy the new platform.
