About

Dr. Pettit studied physics and magazine journalism at Syracuse University prior to earning her MD from the Chicago Medical School. She went on to complete her residency in internal medicine and fellowships in hematology/oncology and clinical pharmacology/pharmacogenomics at the University of Chicago. She has received national recognition for her research, including the Conquer Cancer Foundation/ASCO Young Investigator Award, the ASCPT Presidential Trainee Award, and selection for the ASH Clinical Research Training Institute. Dr. Pettit focuses on translational research and drug development for patients with myeloid malignancies, specifically myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndrome, and acute myeloid leukemia.
