Join us with Master Gardener Peggy Scott to learn more about plants, gardening and how helpful plants can be for our health. We will also be talking about our upcoming HealthTree Moves App to launch our March Fitness Challenge!
Linnley joined the Myeloma Crowd in January 2020 to share her passion for health. Her husband is a Childhood Cancer Survivor as well as a Cancer Biologist. Finding a cure, better treatments, and balancing life through treatment is a huge passion of their family. She's a mom of an energetic 6-year old, marathon runner, and Ironman finisher- fitness has been a huge part of her life and she loves to share it with others.
Peggy worked in various areas of nursing including pediatrics, Huntsman Cancer Institute and the University Of Utah Hospital working mostly with Cystic Fibrosis. After always growing a vegetable garden and having the best flower garden in the neighborhood, she had a desire to become a Master Gardener. When they moved to North Carolina from Utah, she was intrigued by the different flora and had time to pursue more education and found friends with a common interest. There she attended classes and volunteered for 8 years. After moving back to Utah she recertified as a Master Gardener and has been volunteering her time at Thanksgiving point for almost 4 years now. She's taught classes on vegetable gardening, and creative containers. Currently she is enjoying reblooming orchids and learning how to make sourdough bread. Her greatest love is making memories with family.
Thank you for your interest in the event. If you have any questions, we would love to help!
