Valarie introduces the agenda of the event and featured speaker Jackie McFarlin and her husband Rick.
Jackie and Rick discuss how to give and receive care from a patient and caregiver perspective.
“I became a Myeloma Coach after meeting many patients who did not have a peer mentor to ask questions and find relevant information about myeloma.”
Rick and Jackie McFarlin have been married for thirty-five years. They have two adult sons and live in Southern California. Jackie was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in July 2017 right after celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. After induction therapy of (RVD) Revlimid, Velcade & Dex she achieved remission and scheduled her SCT. April 27, 2018, is her SCT birthdate. Her husband Rick is a retired Army veteran and has recently retired from BNSF Railway. He has been Jackie's caregiver from the very beginning.
Thank you for your interest in the event. If you have any questions, we would love to help!
