Event Description

The Southern California Myeloma Community Chapter is pleased to welcome Scott Goldsmith, M.D. for a special interactive conversation regarding the latest in myeloma research and comprehensive care. Dr. Goldsmith recently joined the City of Hope team as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation. He is a welcome addition among the region’s multiple myeloma specialists. After graduating with honors from the University of Florida, Dr. Goldsmith earned his medical degree from UF’s College of Medicine. He continued his training at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Goldsmith takes pride in the relationships he forms with his patients, and is intent on making an impact “at an individual, institutional, and global level” in finding better treatments for multiple myeloma.
Whether you are newly diagnosed, in remission or relapsing, there will be content and conversation that will be relevant to you. Bring your questions and gain valuable insights from this Dr. Goldsmith. (Please note, since patients’ disease and history are unique, this forum is not intended to address or make treatment recommendations for individual patient-specific cases.)

Diane Kennedy

Diane has been an active and engaged care partner with Todd, her husband, since he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2017. In January 2020 they retired to devote their time and talents as patient advocates, HealthTree coaches, and grateful patient speakers/ambassadors for City of Hope. They are committed to helping improve and advance cancer care for all patients and feel a collaborative, virtual support group is an excellent way to help educate and empower patients and their families.
