The previously restrictive neutropenic diet once followed after SCT is no more. With more understanding and data published, nutritionists and dieticians alike have adjusted the post-transplant diet to include more nourishing and beneficial foods. Learn what foods are good to eat, what precautions should be taken when it comes to feeding yourself or a loved one, and come with your questions!

Audrey joined the HealthTree Foundation as the Myeloma Community Program Director in 2020. While not knowing much about myeloma at the start, she has since worked hard to educate herself, empathize and learn from others' experiences. She loves this job. Audrey is passionate about serving others, loves learning, and enjoys a nice mug of hot chocolate no matter the weather.

Lauren Fay, RD, CSO, CNSC, is an oncology Registered Dietitian who currently practices at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute and Life with Cancer in Fairfax, VA. Lauren graduated from James Madison University with her bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, and completed her Dietetic Internship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Lauren has spent her 13 year career in oncology nutrition supporting the nutrition needs of oncology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. She is board certified in oncology nutrition (CSO) as well as nutrition support (CNSC), and is currently working towards her master’s degree in public health with a focus on health policy from George Mason University.
