Dr. Amir Toor is an oncologist in Richmond, VA and is affiliated with VCU Medical Center. He received his medical degree from King Edward Medical University and has been in practice for 22 years after completing a fellowship in Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Minnesota in 1999. He specializes in hematopoietic cell transplantation for hematologic malignancies. He has served on the School of Medicine and Department of Medicine Promotion and Tenure Committees. Dr. Toor has received the School of Medicine and Department of Medicine Distinguished Mentor Awards in 2021 and 2017 respectively. He has more than 75 peer-reviewed publications and over 100 scientific abstracts and received the Department of Medicine Distinguished Scholarship Award in 2016.
