Rami S Komrokji, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, and Vice Chair of the Malignant Hematology Department at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. At Moffitt, he also serves as Senior Head of the Leukemia and MDS Section and Senior Member of the Malignant Hematology and Experimental Therapeutics Program. He earned his medical degree from Jordan University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western University, St Vincent Charity Hospital Program, and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester. His research interests are in phase I and II clinical trials as well as outcomes research in hematologic malignancies with a focus on myeloid neoplasms. Dr Komrokji has authored or coauthored more than 155 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 20 book chapters, and over 300 abstracts covering hematologic malignancies. He is a member of the MDS Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and peer reviewer for several journals including Blood Journal, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Leukemia Journal.
