Mary joined HealthTree in 2022 as a part of HealthTree's team to help expand into all blood cancers. She now works as HealthTree's Volunteer & Community Outreach Manager, helping to engage and involve community members in HealthTree's mission. When she isn't working, she loves being the fun aunt to her 13 nieces and nephews, attending concerts, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling to explore new cities.

Dr. Gautam Borthakur
Dr. Borthakur is a Professor in the Department of Leukemia and a dedicated specialist in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). He is deeply committed to improving outcomes for patients by bringing promising new treatments and clinical trials directly into the clinic. Over the course of his career, he has led more than 30 clinical trials focused on advancing care for people living with AML and related blood cancers. His work is driven by one goal: helping patients have better, more hopeful treatment options.
