Description

Eileen Kurre, a project manager at University Hospital Heidelberg, discusses peripheral neuropathy symptoms and quality of life in smoldering myeloma at IMS 2026 in Glasgow. In a study of 127 patients, 84% reported mild or moderate neuropathy symptoms, women reported more symptoms than men, and quality of life was lower than in the general population. She discusses what is still unknown and why these findings raise questions about describing smoldering myeloma as symptom-free.
