Can exercise help strengthen bones?

We think that strengthening bones is very important in myeloma. Obviously, we do that with medical interventions. But we think that exercise might have a beneficial effect as well. We know that from osteoporosis that people with a more sedentary lifestyle or people, for example, astronauts, we know that they lose bone mass in space because there's no resistance because of the lack of weight of body weight in space. So that's something where we think that exercise, especially resistance training, is beneficial for patients and to improve their own strength. Of course, it's always important to make sure that there's no fracture risk so that the patients don't do any exercises that might be harmful to them.
