Is there any relationship between exercise and fatigue?

There is some data that exercise is actually the only thing that has scientifically been proven to be effective in fatigue. At least when I looked last time. So exercise overcomes fatigue to a certain degree, and there are not very many other interventions that we can do. There are not many drugs that help with fatigue. And since fatigue is a common side effect of treatment but also a symptom of the disease, exercise can help. In my experience with my patients and myself as well. If you overcome this first fatigue and go on to exercise, or even if it's just a walk, which counts as an exercise, that's helpful to overcome fatigue. Exercise is actually one of the few things that's been proven to improve cancer-related fatigue. Sometimes it seems counterintuitive. The last thing you want to do is exercise when you're tired, but it actually builds a reservoir of strength and energy that will ultimately render you with less fatigue.
