Where is DLBCL located in my body? It could be anywhere. Most of them start in the lymph nodes first, majority of them. And usually if left untreated, the disease starts going outside of the lymph nodes over And it can go to the bone marrow, the liver, the kidney, any organ you might think of. There are a small fraction of DLBCL patients which present with a lesion in an organ without the lymph node involvement. Oftentimes their prognosis is still pretty good, but again, this is a very small fraction of patients. The body is going to start with involvement in the lymph nodes and that could be anywhere in the body because we have lymph nodes all over starting from the back of the throat and till the groin area, the majority of the big lymph nodes are. Suppline is also considered a lymphoid organ, so a significant portion of the patients will have suppline enlargement as well. Blood cancers, again, it's kind of semantics. Leukemia refers to if you have a lot of circulating cancer cells in the blood, that means you have a blood sample, you can detect a bunch of cancer cells and that is usually what we call as leukemia. Lymphoma, when we traditionally think of it, is more like cancer is restricted to the lymph nodes and the lymphatic system, but again, the blood cells kind of go, circulate throughout the body. But again, it's more of a restricted. If you do a scan, you see lymph nodes enlarged and other internal organs that could be involved by DLVCL. DLVCL is a series of lymph nodes that are everywhere in the body. More frequently, it happens on the axillary lymph node or locations like that, but eventually you can have an extra nodal, as we call it, localization. Very rarely it can be, for example, in the brain or testicular and other localizations, but mostly it's lymph nodes that can be everywhere.
