Pirtobrutinib for First-Line CLL/SLL: Pooled Trial Promising Results #CLL | EHA 2026
Description
Dr. Jennifer Woyach presents pooled results from the BRUIN CLL-313 and BRUIN CLL-314 trials, studying pirtobrutinib (a next-generation BTK inhibitor) in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma who haven't received prior treatment.
ABOUT PIRTOBRUTINIB:
A newer BTK inhibitor designed to be more selective and potentially overcome resistance seen with earlier BTK inhibitors. Being studied as a first-line treatment option.
WHAT THE TRIALS STUDIED:
Two large clinical trials (BRUIN CLL-313 and BRUIN CLL-314) testing pirtobrutinib in previously untreated CLL/SLL patients. This analysis combines results from both trials for a more complete picture.
WHY THIS MATTERS:
First-line treatment choices are critical in CLL. Having more effective options that work well upfront could improve long-term outcomes and quality of life for patients.
THE FOCUS:
This poster presentation highlights early efficacy and safety data from the combined trial population.
