Jaime Andres Suarez Londono, MD
Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine
I’ve had an inclination for science and the humanities since childhood, so medicine was an obvious career choice. My interest in oncology was sparked during my training in internal medicine. It amazed me that there were still so many undiscovered methods of treatments that could greatly benefit patients. I wanted to make a positive impact on my patients’ lives, so I joined the fight against cancer and have focused my career on treating and caring for patients with malignant hematologic diseases. I believe that cancer is the next frontier we must overcome; there is much to learn and many to help.
At Perlmutter Cancer Center, my team and I perform autologous bone marrow transplantation and post-transplant care. We also perform mutation analysis and various other tests to offer personalized cancer care.
The core principle of my practice is to be truthful to my patients and always do no harm. Every patient is served with respect and kindness and receives advanced and personalized care. We have a multidisciplinary team that provides a comprehensive evaluation, combining patient-centered care with the latest scientific advances.
