Sharing a Resource for Mobility and Motivation
AI-generated title
Hello, again. I hope this is ok. I want to share a resource with you. Most of us have physical issues that can make self care hard. But they also make it more of a necessity. Making the time and sustaining the motivation for self-care can be challenging, especially this time of year. I worked with Katie last summer. Her calm, genuine presence compelled me to show up. Once I did, she rocked my world and changed my life. She began by helping me walk again. She gave me hope, when I had none. Her sincere compassion and deep understanding of human physiology are only matched by her relentless dedication to helping others live their best lives. Whether you are an accomplished athlete and/or someone dealing with chronic pain and disability... Katie will meet you where you are and can take you where you want to go. Katie truly cares and will pull you to do all you can do, with her knowledge, wisdom and heart. And you can do all this remotely from the comfort of your own home. Her own story is pretty inspirational, too. Plus, she has great soundtracks. : ) Check out Krasinski Performance on Facebook or visit: https://www.katiekrasinski.com/ She welcomes your questions.

Understanding IgG & Elevated Kappa/Lambda Ratio?
AI-generated title
Hello, friends. I'm grateful for this resource. I am 62 years old and was diagnosed with MGUS this past year. I'm one of the lucky ones. My numbers have been rising, but they are still in the benign realm. I don't yet understand the numbers, but with help, eventually I will. For now, I know I have IgG monoclonal gammopathy with an elevated Kappa/Lambda ratio. Does anyone else have this and/or do you know what it means? I'm going to discuss it with my doc next visit, but that's not for a couple months and I am curious now. Also, anyone in or near Northern Colorado? Gratefully, Janice Gratefully, Janice

Post-ASCT Strength & Balance: What To Expect?
AI-generated title
Dec 2024 Hi, folks; I'm a 68yo male, eight weeks post-autologous bone marrow transplant (ABMT) after a slumbering multiple myeloma (SMM) diagnosis in 2013, active multiple myeloma (MM) diagnosis in April 2024, radiation treatment of plasmacytoma and bone lesions in May/June; Zometa infusions through Aug to help with bone lesions. Velcade/Daratumamab/Revlamid/Dexamethasone in June/July/Aug; stem cell collection in Sept and transplant Oct 14. Five days later was hospitalized for gut infections, diverticulitis and typhlitis, for 8 days. Lots of diarrhea, some nausea but no vomiting, fatigue, peripheral neuropathy (showing up as occasional sharp pains, which wake me up a night, but mostly numbness of feet, inhibiting balance and movement) and loss of 25 pounds (about 13% of body mass), much of which seems to be muscle mass. Will likely restart Zometa for bones, daratumamab and revlamid for maintenance next month. Question: Have been improving slowly in movement/ leg strength/balance; thoughts on how much improvement I can expect?
