Eitan Kugler, MD, PhD, joined The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Leukemia, in July 2023. Dr. Kugler plans to enhance his proficiency in managing and treating acute leukemia patients, alongside his aspiration to conduct impactful translational research in the field. Dr. Kugler obtained his MD from the University of Ben-Gurion, Israel, in 2008 and his PhD degree from Tel Aviv University in 2019, focusing his research on the role of the transcription factor ERG in Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and completed his internal medicine residency training with honors at the Rabin Medical Center in Israel. Prior to joining the Leukemia fellowship program, Dr. Kugler completed a Hematology fellowship at the Rabin Medical Center in Israel in 2022. That same year, he received the prestigious Rothchild Scholarship for physician-scientists. Dr. Kugler plays tennis and is fluent in English and Hebrew.
