Dr. Smith's main research interests include drug development for patients with AML, CML, and MDS and he serves as Co-Investigator for the Oncology Center’s UM1 (early phase drug development) Grant. The Leukemia Program’s clinical trials portfolio has included trials for each of the 8 newly FDA-approved drugs for acute leukemia in the past 2 years.
