Dr. Knight has clinical interests in leukemia and blood cancers, bone marrow failure syndromes, bone marrow transplants and cell therapy.

Dr. Knight's primary research centers on financial toxicity in patients (financial hardship due to the cost of cancer treatment) and on developing interventional models to help address this issue. He is chair of the Financial Toxicity Tumor Board at Levine Cancer Institute, which provides support to patients. He has secured funding for the program, frequently reviews scholarly articles and serves as a national expert on the topic for multiple media outlets.
