Managing Worsening Neuropathy and Balance?
AI-generated title
I was diagnosed with MM in 2019. Treated with dara, revlimid, and dex until my MM specialist took me off revlimid and dex. Side effects of constipation, insonmia, and low energy all improved, except neuropathy. Found on tne web that the supplement alpha lipoic acid would help neuropathy. It got rid of my pain but not the numbness. My numbness has increased a little each year, effecting my balance so severely that I have to use a walker. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Bob D

Sauna Use: Any Doctor Feedback?
AI-generated title
Sauna use. My wife and I used to enjoy our home traditional sauna and have been using it for years. My wife was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma and is going through induction treatment. I am hoping she could enjoy it again after the Myeloma is in remission. When we asked my wife’s Myeloma specialist if it was ok for her to use it he did not give us a clear answer. I am looking for feedback from other Myeloma patients and what did their doctors tell them? Thanks

Personalizing Treatment Strategies Based on Multiple Myeloma Patient Genetics at Diagnosis: The objective of this study is to assess bone marrow biopsy slides obtained during your initial diagnosis of multiple myeloma and then define biological subtypes (DNA, RNA, protein, and other types of assays for tumor and none-tumor), predict prognosis, and potentially guide treatment decisions in the future, and anticipate the clinical outcomes associated with various myeloma treatment options and treatment combinations available to patients with multiple myeloma. This study is open to all myeloma patients regardless of where they are being treated. Patients only need to sign a consent form and connect their medical records, which takes less than 5 minutes. Can a Transplant Stop Myeloma Progression?
AI-generated title
Hi, I have been smouldering for the past two years. My Doctor is sending me for a second opinion on whether or not I should get a stem cell transplant. I will be 74 next month and apparently it cannot be done once I reach 75. My most recent BMB showed that I am 15 to 20% kappa restricted plasma cells with aberrant CD56 expression. The findings are consistent with persistent Plasma Cell Myeloma. My question is can a stem cell transplant stop the progression of myeloma?

Revlimid Maintenance: Taking a Blood Thinner?
AI-generated title
Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I have a question regarding Revlimid, I will be starting revlimid for maintenance, I’ve read there are many possible side effects from this medication, risk of blood clots being one of them, those that are on Revlimid, are you all taking a blood thinner with it? Thank you!
