I was recently diagnosed with MGUS. My kappa reading was 55.592 mg/dl. My lambda was 3.89 mg/ml (0.389mg/dl)which gives a ratio of 142.91. Should I be overly concerned at this stage? This is all new to me so I'm somewhat worried. I had 3 covid 19 jabs in 2021.
Hello everyone,
Had a transplant in July 2020 then Revlimid Maintenance for three years before relapsing in November 2023.
Was then started on Pomalidomide/Dara/Dex in December 2023 --> partial response before unfortunately relapsing again less than one year later in November 2024.
Now my oncologist wants to put me on Kyprolis/Cytoxan/Dex.
Anyone had any experience with this regimen? Anyone experience a long remission on this regimen?
Debating on whether to try this regimen vs. going straight to CAR-T or bispecifics.
Thank you and God bless each and everyone of you!
This forum has been so helpful in my journey.
Does anyone have experience with muscle cramps, mostly in the calves but other places as well? I was diagnosed September 2023 and had ASCT in January 2024. I am on maintenance therapy of daily Revlimid and monthly Daratubumab. I am tolerating all this well but the muscle cramps are terrible. Any ideas or remedies? Thanks
In a previous thread I mentioned I would be starting Darzalex Faspro. I already take Pomalyst 3mg for 21 days on and 7 off so the Darzalex is new to me. I received my first shot 5 days ago and yesterday I started experiencing skin sensitivity mostly under one arm and my rib cage area front and back. I don't have rash but my skin hurts. May question is has anyone else experienced this and did it subside with time? I would also like to hear about other side effects and did they improve over time.
Thank you.
Hi everyone, I am new to this thread so excuse me if I am on the wrong page. My question to group: currently I am on the 4 drug cocktail (sarclisa, RVD) and awaiting transplant in January. Reading a lot about revlimed resistance, with 4 drugs on board, how do they know it is the rev that is resistant and maybe not velcade or sarclisa?? Makes sense?
Hello!
Regarding the Shingrix vaccine, what is your doctor's opinion about taking it?
For those who have taken it, has it been effective for you? Thank you.
on 10/29/24 I received the Covid, RSV, and Flu vaccine. I had a Myeloma panel drawn 11/12/24. My Kappa light chain went up from 48.3 to 57.9, the Kappa/Lambda ratio went from 13.8 to 16.08. My M spike stayed the same at .01. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it possible that the kappa went up because of the vaccines?

Hi friends,
I started taking Xgeva about a year ago each month (the previous year they gave me Xgeva every three months). Now I have ONJ. I have to get a tooth pulled because of this. I'm scared as from what I have read it is getting the tooth pulled that can exacerbate the ONJ.
Can anyone who has ONJ please share their experience and advice? Anything to watch out for? Anything that can improve the situation? All advice accepted, other than advising me to consult my doctor.
Thank you.

Hi everyone,
The VA announced that they are starting the process to add MM to the list of presumptively eligible diagnoses for VA disability under the PACT act. If you served in the military take a look to see if you might qualify. I found another resource that MM is usually awarded a 100% rating, so this is a significant amount of potential funds and not to be overlooked.

Upon doing testing for an autologous stem cell transplant, my Echo heart test showed that the "left atrium is at the upper limits of normal in size" and there is a "mild regurgitation of the mitral valve." (EKG showed normal results.)
Has anyone had this on a test result? I was shocked because I have never had any heart issues at all that I was aware of.
I am wondering if this will disqualify me from a transplant. And if it does, I wondered if I could still do the harvest for later.
I'm 55 YO female. Standard risk. IGG/ Lambda light chain.
My M-spike is zero. My IGG and Light chains are on the low side.
Just had BM biopsy this week with no results back yet.
But after 4 rounds of quad therapy (Rvmd/Darzalex/Velcade/Dex) I have responded quickly and well.
I never expected any issues with heart.
Don't see dr until next week so I just wondered if anyone else had this issue.
I only know about the test results because they were posted on an app where I can see test results.
Thanks
