There are about 6,500 new cases each year.

About 60% of those happen in children, and 40% occur in adults.

It is considered a bimodal cancer.

What that means is it happens in two different age ranges.

So it's the most common childhood cancer.

Then we see a little bit of a decrease in middle age.

And as we get over the age of 50, we see another peak of ALL.

In general, the average person's risk is about one in a thousand of developing ALL.
