Miranda's personal connection
Unfortunately, cancer has been present in my family for many years. My closest personal experience has been my mother's journey with breast cancer, first diagnosed in 2011 and followed by a recurrence in 2022. Seeing someone I love go through this experience has shaped my understanding of the impact cancer has not only on patients, but also on their families. It has strengthened my commitment to approaching healthcare with empathy and supporting patients through education, research, and access to meaningful health information.
